Obituary

William Harry Holland, 89, formerly of Brookneal passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 in South Carolina. He was the husband of the late Edith Maxine Holland.

Mr. Holland was born in Albany, Ga., October 29, 1925 son of the late William Harry Holland Sr. and Lois New Holland. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, a member of Staunton River Masonic Lodge #155 AF & AM and a retired employee of the Weyerhaeuser Corporation.

He is survived by one son, Thomas Holland (Carol) Of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Bonnie Downey of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Sharri Casler (Donald) of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; one step-daughter, Dianna Miller of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Alicia Martinez of Tampa, Fla., Dalton Zachary, Sarah Zachary both of Denver, Colo., Libba Holland of Myrtle Beach, S.C., T. J. Holland of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; five step-grandchildren, Randy Bozeman, Samuel Young, Julie Millner, Herb Carnell and Bruce Carnell. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Larry Price; a step-daughter, Celia “Bunny” Penke.
